Professional resume + Expertise

PhD in Biological Sciences by the Buenos Aires University (UBA). She has participated in different projects aimed to improve the control of public health relevant insects. Her doctoral thesis was carried out at Pest and Insecticide Research Center (CIPEIN- CONICET) and consisted in a comprehensive study of insecticides resistance in the kissing bug Triatoma infestans, the main vector of Chagas disease. Since 2019, she has been working at the Laboratory of Ecology of Vector- Transmitted Diseases (2eTV), Institute for Environmental Research and Engineering (IIIA). There she carried out her postdoctoral studies, focused on the analysis of the resistance-environment relationship throughout Chagas endemic zone. Her current research addresses the influence of environmental variables on the geographical distribution of insecticide resistance in different vectors, under the direction of Aníbal Carbajo PhD and Gastón Mougabure Cueto PhD (Insect Physiology Laboratory- CONICET- UBA).
